A model with head-turning looks joins the Bond cast
THE NEW Bond car has been revealed and – shock – it’s an Aston Martin. But it is at least a new Aston Martin, designed by the British car maker in partnership with the makers of the next James Bond film.

At an event in London this morning Sam Mendes, who takes on Bond directing duties for a second time after the success of Skyfall, announced that the new film will be called Spectre and that in it 007 will be driving the new Aston Martin DB10.
“The first cast member is a non-human cast member,” said Mendes. “I’m really excited and thrilled to be able to say we have continued the 50-year relationship with Aston Martin, which began right at the very beginning of this franchise, and together we have worked on designing a new car. And so, I can reveal the new Aston Martin DB10.”
Mendes described it as “a thing of beauty” and added: “You will see what it can do when you come and see the movie.”
The DB10 gives a clue to the styling of a coming
V8 Vantage replacement
Although the DB10 was developed specifically for the film, reports suggest it prefigures the styling of a V8 Vantage replacement. Working closely with Mendes, Aston Martin’s chief creative officer, Marek Reichman, led the project. Production will be limited to just 10 examples.
Bond is also rumoured to be getting behind the wheel of a Fiat 500 during the movie, so Spectre is likely to feature low-speed mayhem as well as flat-out sports-car thrills.
Shooting of Spectre is under way and the exotic locations include Tangiers, Mexico City and, of course, London. Joining Daniel Craig in the cast of Spectre will be Andrew Scott, Dave Bautista, Monica Bellucci, Léa Seydoux and Christoph Waltz. Spectre will be released on November 6, 2015
