Land Rover Defender pedal car: a snip at £10,000
Your kids will conquer the top field
THIS YEAR’S Frankfurt Motor Show is not short of eccentricities. While sister company Jaguar is debuting its first SUV, the F-Pace, Land Rover was quietly debuting another off-roader.

The Defender pedal car concept has been designed to celebrate sixty years of the original Land Rover and costs the not insignificant sum of £10,000.
For this immodest outlay, junior gets a pedal car with properly sprung suspension and fully functional brakes, including a handbrake. The Loire Blue paint job is shared with grown up Defenders, while the cabin is trimmed in tan leather that looks decidedly posh for what is supposed to be a utilitarian tool.
It’s the ultimate little boy’s (or girl’s) toy and no doubt a decent work out too. Just try to forget that for the same money, you could have a real, full-size Defender, with an engine.
